Mt Rose ski resort has the capacity to introduce you to some of the best powder in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. When you jump on one of the eight ski lifts you will be propelled up 1,800 vertical feet in less than four minutes. There are 62 runs, plus terrain parks for all abilities, and The Chutes offer extreme challenge for advanced skiers and snowboarders. If you want to improve your skills, the Mt. Rose Ski and Snowboard School is a great start for beginners and has advanced lessons for those looking to tear it up in The Chutes.

Dining at Mt. Rose runs the gamut with eight restaurants, bars, and coffee shops with a variety of offerings. The 431 Sports Shop is an excellent choice for top-of-the-line mountain gear, apparel, and accessories. Mt. Rose’ Winters Creek Lodge is available in the winter when you need to take a ski break, or reserve space for a special event during the summer. The setting is gorgeous and relaxed, with panoramic views of the Washoe Valley and Washoe Lake. There are a number of events and entertainment planned throughout the year, including the Santa Ski Crawl, The Chutes Best Line Challenge, and the Dummy Downhill.
