Mt. Rose Campground
You will find Mt. Rose Campground to be one the higher campgrounds around Lake Tahoe at an elevation of 9,300 feet. It’s in a wonderful high elevation wooded setting with many great boulders that add to the mountain charm. The sites are clean and the newer roads make it one of the more up date campgrounds. A lot of time and attention has been put into this Lake Tahoe campground with picnic tables on cement slabs that help keep the dust down as well as steps to site locations where needed.
There are 20 single and 5 double-family sites and one triple-family site for larger groups. The Mt. Rose Campground offers restrooms, picnic tables, food storage lockers and fire rings and well as potable water. Many campers like the easy access to area trails including Tahoe Meadows Trail, Tahoe Rim Trail, Mount Rose Wilderness Trail and Mount Rose Summit Trail. It is also an quick 5 mile drive into Incline Village, Nevada where you have access to groceries, gas, restaurants and Lake Tahoe.
Directions: Off Mt. Rose Highway 431 take the Mt. Rose Campground entrance into the campground.
