Glenshire Lake

Nestled among alpine peaks of Truckee, the Glenshire Lake loop is relaxing and simple to navigate, making it perfect for families with young children. This area has lots of gently rolling hills and gorgeous mountain views. Part of the scenic trail crosses a lush meadow of wildflowers as it circles around the quaint lake on gentle terrain. Take an evening stroll in the soft glow of a gorgeous sunset, or enjoy your walk under the twinkling stars. Dogs on a leash are welcome. Directions: To get to the trailhead from downtown Truckee go east on Donner Pass Road, take a right on Glenshire Drive and drive 5 miles to the Glenshire Clubhouse parking lot (on the left). The trailhead is behind the clubhouse.
Bikers Please Note: Glenshire Drive is not biker friendly due to a lack of shoulders and high speeds.
