Eighth Annual Mutt Strut Poker Run

The Eighth Annual Mutt Strut Poker Run on this coming Sunday, October 14. Bring your dog to the Mutt Strut Poker Run and support a good  cause. There are plenty of great prizes so get out this weekend and join in the fun.

The walk will be 1.2 miles long (one-way), and will hug the shoreline of Lake Tahoe. During the walk, you will build your poker hand at 5 stops along the way, you and your pooch will get a little exercise and maybe make new friends. At the party at Timber Cove Marina, enjoy music, raffle drawings, a Chinese Auction, and of course the grand prize announcements for the best poker hands. We will also have some of our fun games including a costume contest, best trick and best tail wagger!

Prizes have been donated by local businesses including hotels, restaurants, pet supply stores, spas, and tanning salons. All proceeds benefit ACT’s spay-neuter program and the El Dorado County Animal Shelter.

Details: Registration will be from 11:00 to 11:30 am at the Regan Beach parking lot, at the end of Sacramento St. off Lakeview Ave., near Lake Tahoe Blvd. and the Campground by the Lake. There is plenty of parking in the beach parking lot. To keep the event affordable for all, we have kept our requested donation for the first poker hand at $10, $25 for 3 hands, including snacks, giveaways and one raffle ticket per hand.

As you know, Animal Coalition of Tahoe is an all-volunteer, nonprofit corporation that sponsors several fundraisers each year to support our low-cost spay-neuter program for south Tahoe residents, plus we donate 10% of all funds raised to the El Dorado County Animal Shelter in Meyers.
