Camp Richardson Campground is just a short walk from the South Lake Tahoe shoreline with over 200 tent sites in two separate locations surrounded by towering pine trees. Badger’s Den Campground, is located on the Lake Tahoe side of Highway 89; and Eagle’s Nest, located just across from Badger’s Den Campground, offering two tent campground options complete with renovated bathrooms, for the summer visitors. Each campground includes a picnic table, a bear-proof box, and a fire pit. The showers at Camp Richardson are coin-operated. The campground roads are not paved which can add to the dust level. The RV sites are parked fairly close together and the main Emerald Bay Road can get congested with traffic passing through peak times of the day. Camp Richardson Resort has a strict no smoking in the buildings and no pet policy.
