America’s Most Beautiful Bike Ride 2014

America’s Most Beautiful Bike Ride 2014 at Lake Tahoe

It’s that time of year to load up your bike and head to the 23rd annual America’s Most Beautiful Bike Ride event; happening on Sunday, June 1 at the ever-inspirational Lake Tahoe! Rain or shine, thousands of cyclists will be out there and up for the grueling ride. Participants can choose from either the 100-mile century or the 72-mile ride – both offer the scenic, breathtaking views that people from all over the United States come to see.

Hosted by Bike the West and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the event raises thousands of dollars annually for their friends and family who suffer from Leukemia/Lymphoma disease, as well as the non-profits in search of a cure. One of the largest fundraisers of its kind, the America’s Most Beautiful Bike Ride event also promotes Lake Tahoe Bikeway and the Lake Tahoe Bicycle Coalition to bring awareness to bike safety and bike path connectivity throughout Lake Tahoe’s various terrains.

Recreational bicyclists can combine sightseeing and riding with the Boat Cruise and 35-mile Half Ride Fun Tour instead. This tour comes with a continental breakfast, t-shirt, lunch on the course and more! Rest stops, food, bag drops and first aid will also be provided by various vendors throughout the courses, no matter what ride you choose to experience. Non-bike riders can pre-purchase the Boat Cruise sightseeing tour.

And, of course, no ride is complete without an after party, courtesy of the Montbleu Casino. Food and entertainment will be provided throughout the afternoon. The event is limited to the first 3,500 pre-registered riders, so stake your claim in America’s Most Beautiful Bike Ride!
