Alpine Meadows Stable
The location of the Alpine Meadows Stable started in the mid 1940’s as a pack station and was the first operation in Alpine Meadows, then known as Deer Park. Here the hunters would pack up supplies and ready their horses before for heading into what now called Granite Chief Wilderness. In 1967 Alpine Meadows Stables was purchased by the Courtney Family. Today the Courtney Family keeps the horseback riding tradition alive by offering scenic guided horseback trail rides through National Forest and Wilderness lands. You and your family will enjoy a wonderful day outdoors with a little excitement and beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountain views.
