Meeks Bay Campground
Meeks Bay Campground is ideally located on the south end of Meeks Bay with a wonderful Lake Tahoe beach to spend your summer days lounging and swimming. Choose from 40 tent and RV campsites (accommodates RV’s up to 20′ long). The campground has a nice setting with smaller pines for shade and large shrubs to provide some privacy. The campground is not too large so overcrowding and noise is not as much of an issue. The only drawback at the campground would be some road noise for campsites that skirt along Highway 89 (Emerald Bay Road). The easy walk to the beach is a major plus. There are standing BBQ’s and fire rings at all sites and the campground does provide water, BBQ rings, and flush toilets. There is also easy access to Meeks Bay Resort and Marina right next to the campground offering boat launch, water craft rentals, store, snack bar and other amenities.
Directions: Meeks Bay Campground is located on Highway 89 approximately 10 miles south of Tahoe City and 8 Miles North of Emerald Bay, on the west shore of Lake Tahoe.
