Kokanee Salmon Festival is taking place  October 5-6, 2013 at Taylor Creek Visitor Center in South Lake Tahoe. Educational and free, the Kokanee Salmon Festival offers fun for the whole family! Come and celebrate the annual fall migration of the land-locked Kokanee Salmon with activities galore. Tough Mudder Lake Tahoe – Back for a Second Round

Tough Mudder is coming back to Northstar California Resort September 28-29, 2013. This is your chance if you missed it in July! This popular “muddy” event is not only thrilling to watch, but has raised over $5 million dollars for the Wound Warrior Project. The slogan “Probably the Toughest Event on the Planet” describes this grueling 12-mile obstacle course. This great week of events is back – Lake Tahoe Marathon September 27-29, 2013! That’s right, the 18th annual Lake Tahoe Marathon weekend has an event for everyone!
